The story of Roma...
By Roma Imports News | May 29, 2013 at 04:01 PM EDT | No Comments

Roma first opened about twenty-six years ago as a family owned wholesale Italian foods importer. The original business specialized in Italian cheeses, canned tomatoes and olive oils. Roma mostly served Tucson restaurants and a few in-the-know retail customers. In 1999 Lilian Spieth took over Roma. Lilian and her family have lived and traveled extensively throughout Italy and Europe. More importantly, Lilian knows good food. Withing a few years Roma was stocking premium Italian pasta, crushed tomatoes, balsamic and specialty wine vinegars and oh so many cheeses.  One customer told the next, and before long, hungry and happy retail customers had all but replaced the original wholesale business.

More about our history in future communications.  In the meantime, don't forget, we are serving dinner on Friday and Saturday nights.  So, don't heat up the kitchen. Join us for all you can eat Friday Nite Pasta Bar and see you soon at Roma.
